HeadPoint and Radix launch collaboration

05.07.2022 News
HeadPoint (part of GCS), a developer of InOne IoT platform, and Radix, a developer of software for building high-performance data storage systems, signed a partnership agreement.

The companies have successfully completed compatibility testing of their products. The joint solution can be used primarily for storing photo and video archives in solutions for city and municipal agencies and commercial organizations that need to reduce IT equipment costs and provide reliable data storage.

"InOne IoT platform effectively solves the tasks of collecting and analyzing information from video surveillance systems, video analytics, security systems, telemetry sensors, forming a single event space. Thanks to the technologies developed by HeadPoint experts, customers have a powerful tool for monitoring and automating the response to emerging issues in a variety of applications: performance control of equipment and technological processes, control of human activities, security tasks. By implementing InOne-based systems, the customer can reduce the involvement of personnel in the response to typical violations by 40% and the decision-making time is reduced by 30% by enriching the events with the data processed in other information systems. Combined with the RAIDIX-based storage system's high reliability and performance, we can offer our customers a new level of scalability for video analytics and surveillance solutions from InOne," said Dmitry Evdokimov, CEO of HeadPoint.

"The RAIDIX 5-based storage system works effectively as a single system for streaming and archival databases of the video surveillance system and allows us to preserve the integrity of video footage and maintain a high level of performance even during hardware failures and intensive recording streams. Taking into account the new features of the 5.2 release, where support for NVMe-oF protocol is implemented, users will be able to implement even more effective video analytics tools without compromising the system speed," said Sergey Platonov, Raidix Deputy Director General for Strategy.

Also, RAIDIX-based data storage systems feature technologies that significantly increase reliability and efficiency of video surveillance and video analytics systems. Among them are dual-controller mode, protection against hidden data corruption, remote replication, SSD-cache, unique RAID-array levels, proactive reconstruction. Especially for systems based on SSD/NVMe storage the ERA Engine technology was developed, which provides a record performance of RAID, allowing you to reduce the cost of storage by 2-3 times.

The InOne platform and RAIDIX software are included in the Register of Russian Software, which makes it possible to use this joint solution for import substitution in IT infrastructures.
